Description

Course Aim:
To improve the quality of everyday orthodontic cases with brackets and aligners

Objectives:

  • Learn how to optimise finishing in the Straight Wire Technique
  • How to maximise bracket prescription
  • Understand the GET technique and bracket options
  • How to optimise archwire selection and sequencing
  • Learn how aligners work and understand their limitations
  • Understand the difference between aligner and fixed appliance mechanics
  • Recognise when TADs are required for fixed appliances and aligners
  • Identify when a case is not progressing well and how to manage it

Outcome:
Achieve a higher standard of finishing taking into consideration the limits of everyday practice and in accordance with sound biomechanical principles
