Tip 1: Create micro retention
Creating micro retention on the restoration is a mandatory step. Preferably, this is done after the try-in. Glass ceramics are etched with hydrofluoric acid (20s for lithium disilicate / 60s for feldspar-based ceramics), while zirconia is gently sandblasted with ~50 µm Al2O3. Sandblasting the tooth surface prior to luting is recommended to obtain a clean, micro retentive surface for the cementation procedure.

Tip 2: Use a primer if needed
Chemical bonding to lithium disilicate relies on silane, while for zirconia, it relies on MDP.
G-Multi PRIMER is a universal primer designed to pre-treat virtually any substrate for indirect restorations and contains the appropriate monomers for this purpose.
However, the use of MDP primer on the zirconia restoration is optional for G-CEM ONE and FujiCEM Evolve. G-CEM ONE already contains MDP.
Using G-CEM ONE Adhesive Enhancing Primer elevates the immediate bond strength by boosting the polymerisation and reduces the working time to 1’15”!

Tip 3: Excess removal
Tack curing the cement can be used to reach a semi-gel state, which makes excess removal a lot easier. Tack cure G-CEM ONE for 1 second only and FujiCEM Evolve for 3 seconds to reach this rubbery state. Do not exceed the recommended tack cure times or the clean-up could be more difficult.
Tip 4: Balance comfort and waste
Depending on the required amount of cement, FujiCEM Evolve can be used either mixed by hand or with automix tips. While for small amounts, hand-mixed would be more economical, automix is convenient to ensure a homogeneous composition when larger amounts are needed.
