Endodontic retreatment remains one of the most challenging areas of clinical decision-making.
In this session, multiple endodontic specialists will present their individual approaches to decision-making through the discussion of real clinical cases. By comparing different expert perspectives, the session will explore how clinicians evaluate complex retreatment cases and why treatment strategies may vary between specialists.
This 90 minute discussion-based format offers a rare opportunity to experience the real-time thought processes of endodontic specialists as they analyze difficult cases.

The more experienced the endodontic specialists, the more engaging this discussion becomes, as their clinical reasoning can truly be considered an art. Their decision-making process differs from that of prosthodontists and general practitioners, who develop treatment plans for the entire dentition. Instead, endodontic specialists typically focus on a single tooth, or in some cases, a small group of adjacent teeth. In this lecture, each specialist will demonstrate the factors they consider when making clinical decisions and explaining treatment options to patients, providing participants with insight into their decision-making process.
