Initial 15th : THE NEO-AESTHETIC FRONTLINE
~世界の視点から捉える、審美補綴のこれから~

The Initial ceramic system, now used in more than 100 countries, celebrates its 15th anniversary in Japan in 2026. This symposium brings together leading dental technicians from around the world to explore how Initial has evolved alongside advances in dental technology and changing global trends. Through the shared language of Initial ceramics, speakers will present their latest techniques, aesthetic approaches, and clinical applications. Participants will gain insight into how the brand has been refined and embraced across countries, discovering a unique fusion of technical skill and artistic sensitivity that symbolizes the ongoing development of modern esthetic dentistry.

Achieving Esthetic in Zirconia Restorations: Strategic Framework Selection and Cutback Volume Optimization

ジルコニア修復における審美性の構築:
フェイシャルカットバックの基準と築盛の最適化

Thanks to recent advancements in zirconia materials, translucency, shade, and strength have significantly improved. Furthermore, frame designs can now achieve both aesthetics and functionality, as seen in facial cutback designs. However, replicating the shade of the incisal edge of anterior teeth remains challenging, with the opal effect being one of the contributing factors. Because the incisal edge of natural teeth exhibits various expressions, appearing bluish or orange depending on the lighting conditions, simple shade reproduction is insufficient to achieve a natural, lifelike incisal appearance.
In this presentation, through cases utilizing the facial cutback design, we will introduce a layering technique aimed at replicating the optical characteristics of the natural incisal edge.

Biologic Approach to Full-Mouth Prosthetic
Rehabilitation Considering Periodontal Conditions:
Concepts and Case Presentations using GC Initial ceramics.

Biologic Approach to Full-Mouth Prosthetic
Rehabilitation Considering Periodontal Conditions:
Concepts and Case Presentations using GC Initial ceramics.

  • Techniques for achieving natural tooth-like shade reproduction using Initial ZR-FS ceramic, Initial IQ Lustre Pastes One, and Spectrum Stains
  • Application methods of Initial ZR-FS Gum Shades for creating natural gingival coloration
  • Anterior esthetic prosthetic design and case presentations incorporating the concept of the emergence profile
  • Fabrication process and clinical cases of prosthetic restorations designed to maintain soft-tissue volume in implant full-mouth rehabilitation cases
With the progression of an aging population, the proportion of patients presenting with single-tooth loss as well as full-mouth continues to increase. In this context, achieving not only esthetics but also long-term functional stability through properly designed prosthetic restorations has become increasingly important.
This seminar will present techniques for reproducing natural tooth shade using the GC Initial Ceramic system, along with various implant-based clinical cases that address different types of tooth loss. Additionally, it will highlight prosthetic designs aimed at long-term maintenance and soft-tissue volume preservation.

Laboratory Efficiency Combined With Initial LiSi Block

Laboratory Efficiency Combined With Initial LiSi Block

  • Transformation of total digitalized laboratory
  • How to construct digital language of fixed restoration between dentist and technician
  • Digital shade matching on Initial LiSi Block
During times of transformation from handmade to digital, the core competitive strength of dental lab is undergoing redefinition. In this seminar, I would like to share the frame of "digital communication " with my own experience by analyzing the market, human resource and equipment. This session focuses on the advantages and clinical applications of Initial Lisi Block, covering digital equipment, digital shade matching, and surface treatment logic. Through anterior and posterior tooth aesthetic cases, it verifies the best indications and fabrication strategies under digital processes, providing a replicable digital technician evolution path and practical SOP thinking!

All in with GC and AI
― Effective protocols for reproducible results

  • Shaping the future with GC and AI: efficient protocols, reliable outcomes, lasting success.
Constantly changing rules drive rapid transformation in our profession. New materials and breakthrough technologies such as AI allow us to develop efficient protocols that produce reliable outcomes, cut error margins and greatly increase the likelihood of success. In this session, I will take you inside my lab for a typical day using these protocols, integrating both GC and AI.

Redefining Surface Staining Techniques in Digital Workflows: Achieving the Ultimate Synergy of Aesthetics and Efficiency with "Paint Bancho”

デジタルワークフローにおける表面ステイン法の再考
―「ペイント番長」が導き出す審美と効率の最適解 ―

  • Selection criteria for monolithic materials based on natural tooth structure and color perception
  • Building reproducible staining recipes
  • Simple external staining techniques using the GC Initial series (initial IQ Lustre Pastes ONE, Initial Spectrum stain, Initial IQ SQIN)
  • Enhancing clinical efficiency for dentists and technicians through digital-analog integration
Digital Transformation (DX) in dentistry is accelerating, leading us into an era where AI and milling machines take center stage in crown fabrication. While the traditional realm of "craftsmanship" is narrowing within this irreversible trend, the value of external staining—the final touch that breathes life into a digitally shaped form—is becoming more significant than ever.
In this presentation, I, known as "Paint Bancho," will share insights from my clinical experience, having completed all my cases using only the external staining technique since 2014. I will provide a detailed explanation of my approach to color perception, the construction of simple staining recipes, and efficient methods for shade reproduction.
Furthermore, I will introduce the strategic techniques practiced by our clinical team of dentists and dental technicians. These methods are designed to significantly reduce laboratory time while maintaining high-end quality in aesthetic restorations using monolithic materials.
