Denture EXPO- 90 Minutes of Advanced Denture Clinical Practice
― Expert Perspectives on Key Clinical Challenge ―
デンチャーEXPO:義歯の最前線90分
~義歯臨床の課題をエキスパートの臨床から紐解く~
This session brings together practical solutions to the challenges faced in denture therapy in a 90-minute program. While the importance of denture treatment continues to grow in an aging society, clinicians face many challenges, including an increasing number of complex cases with severely resorbed ridges, maintaining function, shortages of dental technicians, and the ongoing shift toward digital dentistry. This is a valuable opportunity to learn how leading denture experts approach these challenges and make clinical decisions in daily practice. The session will present both the current state and future direction of denture therapy, while offering practical insights that can be applied in everyday clinical care.
Moderator & Lecturer
Suction Dentures in the Era of Severely Resorbed Ridges
— Advanced Techniques for Mandibular Suction Dentures —
- Identifying the seven key characteristics of severely resorbed mandibular ridges
- Detecting peripheral seal leakage in mandibular complete dentures: A push-and-pull assessment of the anterior denture teeth
- Evaluating floor-of-the-mouth morphology during mouth opening: Elevation, depression, or shape maintenance?
This lecture will review the seven key characteristics of severely resorbed mandibular ridges and their corresponding clinical management, with a focus on mandibular complete denture fabrication based on the concept of suction. Particular emphasis will be placed on changes in the morphology of the floor of the mouth during mouth opening—whether it elevates, descends, or maintains its shape—which represents a key factor in achieving successful denture suction.
Lecturer
Clinical Management of Full Dentures for the Maintenance and Restoration of Oral Function
— Practical Approaches to Maintenance and Functional Management —
- Maintenance is an essential component of full denture therapy for preserving and restoring oral function.
- Incorporating the assessment of oral hypofunction enables objective evaluation of function, facilitating functional management and patient guidance.
- As healthcare systems place greater emphasis on prevention and long-term management, integrating functional management into complete denture care is becoming increasingly important.
Lecturer
Our Clinic's Approach to Digital Dentures
- Digital technologies for precise and efficient denture fabrication
- Enhancing patient satisfaction through reduced treatment time and fewer clinical visits
- Digital denture fabrication: Additive versus subtractive manufacturing
Lecturer
Digital Technology as a Driver of Team Development and Clinical Education
— Streamlining Digital Denture Fabrication in Daily Practice —
- Digital integration into the mandibular suction denture workflow
- Collaboration and information sharing between dentists and dental technicians
- The current status of dental technicians and their education
