人工真皮の開発と応用:
歯科領域での感染制御から学ぶ新しい創傷治療戦略

  • Biofilms and oral infections
  • Issues and needs regarding artificial dermis in wound treatment
  • Development of Ag-Protect
  • Insights from development and post-launch Clinical and basic research
Although artificial dermis plays a crucial role in wound treatment, countermeasures against infection and biofilm formation remain significant challenges.
This presentation details the development background and product concept of 'Teldermis Ag Protect', developed by applying insights from infection control in dentistry.
Drawing on insights gained during the development process and post-market clinical and basic research, we will discuss its potential as a new therapeutic strategy that strikes a balance between infection control and tissue regeneration.

Local Anesthesia Strategies in Dental Treatment: Optimizing Clinical Practice Through the Latest Evidence

治療を支える局所麻酔戦略
~最新知見から導く最適解~

  • Current Landscape of Dental Local Anesthetic Formulations in Japan
  • Pharmacological Characteristics and Unique Structure of Articaine
  • Strategies for the Appropriate Selection of Local Anesthetic Agents
Local anesthetic agents are indispensable for performing invasive dental procedures safely and smoothly. The recent shortage of dental local anesthetics has once again highlighted the fact that routine dental practice cannot function without these agents. In other words, local anesthetics constitute an extremely important foundation supporting daily dental clinical practice. In 2025, articaine formulations became newly available for dental use in Japan, further strengthening the foundation of local anesthetic management in dentistry.
In this lecture, fundamental concepts of local anesthesia will first be reviewed, followed by an overview of the characteristics of currently available injectable dental local anesthetic formulations in Japan. In addition, strategies for the appropriate selection and clinical use of these agents based on their pharmacological properties and clinical utility will be discussed.
