Course description:
This hands-on course provides an in-depth exploration of digital workflows in biomimetic dentistry, focusing on intraoral scanning, restoration design, material selection, and in-office milling. Participants will gain practical experience using Amann Girrbach mills and Ceramill Mind software, mastering techniques for efficient and precise digital restorations. The curriculum covers scanning strategies, design principles, material selection, and advanced techniques to optimize fit, function, and esthetics. Hands-on exercises will guide participants through scanning, transferring to design software, designing restorations, and milling with recommended biomimetic materials. Through live demonstrations and case-based learning, attendees will refine their ability to seamlessly integrate CAD/CAM technology into clinical practice—elevating precision, efficiency, and ultimately achieving the highest-quality clinical outcomes.
Learning objectives:
- Explain the principles of biomimetic dentistry and how they apply to digital indirect restorations
- Identify the advantages of CAD/CAM technology in improving precision, efficiency, and clinical outcomes
- Demonstrate proper intraoral scanning techniques for capturing highly accurate digital impressions
- Utilize Ceramill Mind software to design biomimetic restorations with optimal fit, function, and esthetics
- Select appropriate biomimetic materials for CAD/CAM restorations based on clinical indications and bonding protocols
- Integrate CAD/CAM technology into clinical practice to improve workflow efficiency and patient outcomes
